To rekindle the stars inside the hearts of those who’ve lost their way - to remind every soul that the universe isn’t some far-off place, but something we carry with us, a light that guides us through the vastness, if only we dare to look.

I chase photons that left their stars before humans even existed.
The sky is old, patient, and brutally honest - and I meet it on its terms.
Astrophotography isn’t just about images. It’s about precision, obsession, and a kind of silence I understand.
Every frame is a map of time, built slowly, carefully - like a language only the night speaks back.
This is how I connect: not with words, but with light that’s traveled across the universe to get here.

About Me

My name is Daniyaal, I’m 18 years old, and I come from Beeston - a small part of Leeds, lit by streetlamps and not by stars. I first Got into astronomy/astrophotography when i was 14 years old.

I was raised by a single mother. I’m Muslim. I’m autistic. And I see the world - and the universe - differently.

Out here, the skies are Bortle 9. You barely see stars, let alone galaxies.
But that never stopped me from looking up.

In a place where most people forget the sky exists, I made it my home.
With a camera, a lens, a tripod, and a filter - I began chasing light that started it's journey millions of years ago.

Astrophotography isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s how I listen to the cosmos.
It’s slow, it’s precise, and it teaches me things most people never get a chance to notice - like how long silence can last, how fast light can travel, and how much patience beauty sometimes demands.

I don’t have the most expensive gear. I don’t live in a dark-sky reserve.
But every photo I take is a kind of resistance - a way of saying: even here, in this city, under this sky, the universe still matters.

And I want others to feel that too.

My journey started with wide-field shots - landscapes beneath the stars, the faint glow of the Milky Way where city light allows.

But my goals are far beyond that. I'm building my rig piece by piece, learning the science, the precision, the art - slowly mastering it.

Not just to capture deep-sky objects, but to tell stories with them.

Because where I come from, not many kids grow up hearing about space.

No one teaches us how to find galaxies.

So I’m teaching myself - and one day, I’ll teach them too...

My Mission

To return the stars to the hearts of those who’ve forgotten they were ever theirs.

To remind my city - and especially its youth - that the universe does not belong to the privileged or the far away.

It belongs to us, too. To anyone who dares to look up.

To plant wonder where there was none.

To raise eyes - and minds - toward something greater.

Not just to inspire a generation of explorers,

but to make them believe they were meant  to explore.

Because you don’t need dark skies to find the light.

You just need someone to show you it was always there - waiting.

I intend to start building a library of free videos teaching landscape astrophotography and sharing short films of my adventures under the stars. Soon, I plan to start a monthly series called Starlight Stories to explore the night’s wonders together.
